Hurricane Milton Update – Protect Terrace River !

Terrace River Master Association Members and Residents:

 Hurricane Milton has now become a Category 5 hurricane with winds over 160 mph and gusts up to 200 mph.  This is a very dangerous storm.

TO PROTECT YOU AND YOUR HOME AND YOUR NEIGHBORS AND THEIR HOMES

1.        Trash will NOT be picked up this week by the City of Temple Terrace.  Bring your trash can into the garage. DO NOT leave trash or trash cans outside that will become flying debris!!

2.       Inspect outside around your house. Bring inside:

o Any items the wind can pick up and blow around

o Signs, including political signs and security services signs (ADT, Guardian, Ring, etc.)

o Lightweight planters

o Lawn chairs and tables

o Small plants in pots

o Loose branches that came down from the last storm

o Propane tanks

o Wood, plywood, pallets, boxes, cartons

o Hanging decorations on your front door

o Children’s toys

o Trash cans

o Recycle bins

o Loose mailboxes must be nailed or strengthened

o Garden tools, rakes, shovels

o Lawn ornaments

o Halloween decorations

DO THIS IMMEDIATELY FOR YOUR PROTECTION AND THE PROTECTION OF OTHERS ! ! !

Hurricane Milton in Gulf of Mexico

Dear Terrace River Master Association Members and Residents:

 

As many of you have heard, Hurricane Milton is expected to affect our area Wednesday on its current path.  This is a very dangerous storm.

We know that many of you are already checking your hurricane supplies, gathering important papers, and putting up protection for your windows.  We urge you to secure or remove any objects outside your home that could become projectiles and to clean up any yard debris that could become airborne.  This includes any trash cans, recycle bins, lawn furniture, and tables, children’s toys, and any other loose items.

If you need sandbags, the City of Temple Terrace will provide up to ten at this location, tomorrow from 8 am to 5 pm:

·         Sports Complex located at 10369 US Highway 301

Please monitor weather forecasts and local emergency management alerts, particularly about evacuations.

The City of Tempe Terrace will suspend garbage collection tomorrow 10/8/2024 and resume service on Monday, 10/14/2024.
